The Autumn term is always very exciting for the Music Department, and this year was no exception.

The annual Henry Cloker Service at St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate Church in East London was a lovely way to start this academic year's performances for the Senior Choir, led by Mrs White. Celebrating the grocer's life and valuable donations to the school with beautiful latin choral music like "Cantate Domino" was a really heartwarming way to spend the afternoon.

Just a few weeks later, Miss Williams' Gibson Orchestra were given the incredible opportunity to perform to the Lord Mayor at the prestigious venue of Mansion House. They played modern hits like "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift from the balcony to entertain those dining at the Livery Banquet.

Over the last few months, lots of musicians across the school have been honoured to team up with the Charity Representatives in putting on "Supper Club" at the Havering Association for People with Disabilities. One particularly special evening, the master of the Coopers Company attended, enjoying the performances from the young musicians before tucking in to the delicious meal prepped by the charity reps.

This month is arguably the most important for the "Musos." With the Christmas concerts in full swing- things are very busy in the Nicholas Gibson Block. Big Band, conducted by Mrs. Alford, have been performing some great songs like "September" while Junior Choir have been getting into the Christmas spirit with "Sleigh Ride". Senior Choir has been practicing their repertoire of carols ready for some festive church performances and nursing home visits.

We cant wait to see what comes next!
